A broad upper loop above an abbreviated name

A broad curved opening rises over the low middle of the autograph. The stroke returns diagonally toward a second loop beneath it, then rises again into a narrow final group at the right. The later forms are much smaller than the opening and lead into a short horizontal finish. Compare the clear space inside the large upper curve with the overlapping lower lines; the image is built around these two levels of movement.

Ed Sheeran’s signature in graphology

Traditional graphology associates a broad looping opening with an expressive public name. The shortened later forms provide the economical rhythm read in an abbreviated autograph. The signature places most of its decoration at the beginning, leaving the final movement comparatively spare.
